BALLET CLASSES FOR ADULTS & TODDLERS NOW IN MORNINGTON

Welcome to Janelle’s School of Dance in Mornington. I am so excited to be able to offer my expertise and decades of experience, now in Mornington.

Life is better when you are Dancing and my goal in every class is to make Ballet for our distinguished learners the BEST 60 minutes in their day!  For our young learners and their ‘ Mummy/ Daddy/ Grandparent’ THE BEST 30 minutes of their day.

Imagine the privilege it is to introduce our wee friends to the wonderful world of Dance.

Two new classes are on offer to the wonderful Mornington Peninsula community: ‘Ballet Classes for Adults & Over 50 Adult Ballet Classes’ AND ‘ Mummy( Daddy/ Grandparents) & Me ‘Dance classes for 2- 21/2 year olds.

The prestigious Royal Academy of Dance has introduced Silver Swans-a Ballet class for ‘Over 50 Adult Dance’ sessions which I am thrilled to bring to Mornington.

Dance as a low-impact structured and improvised movement with music is a highly effective way to exercise. It helps with stability, coordination and mobility. Health literature tells us that dance programs motivate people to stay engaged in regular activity.

Imagine my joy for our fabulous 50* of giving someone the chance to pick up an activity that they may have pursued and loved as a child, or an activity that they have longed to learn however never had the opportunity. .

 Inside every dancer, is a beginner that fell in love!

(Mummy, Daddy, Grandparents) & Me Dance Ballet Classes for 2- 2.5 year olds

MONDAYS:  9.30am – 10.00am

For our wee Princess’s and Prince’s let’s grow, Dance and giggle our way through Monday mornings. 

In every Dance class I aim to make sunshine for my students and make them fall in love with the Art of Dance and through their participation, fall in love a little bit more with themselves. What a privilege!

Ballet Lessons for Adults in Mornington - INTRO

MONDAYS:  10.00am – 11.00am

Did you learn Ballet as a child? Or perhaps you have longed to learn but never had the opportunity?

Join us on Mondays with professional dance teacher Janelle House. She promises that the class will be the best 60 minutes of your day. Each class begins at the barre and then progresses into the centre in our beautiful purpose built studio. Every week we will build on a dance from the Classical Ballet Repertoire. Next term’s focus: repertoire from the ballet Coppelia.

Beginners and Continuing classes are available on Mondays. Over 55s most welcome as Janelle is a licensee of The Silver Swans program, which specialises in Dance classes for our distinguished citizens.

Dance and well-being go hand-in-hand. Research shows that continued participation in dance programs can improve health outcomes for people of any age. For many, dance is more enjoyable than other forms of exercise.

We dance as a group, with a leader for verbal instructions and visual cues. Dance as a low-impact structured and improvised movement with music is a highly effective way to exercise. It helps with stability, coordination and mobility. Health literature tells us that dance programs motivate people to stay engaged in regular activity.

Dancing offers each participant improved longevity, balance, core strength and coordination, with a reduction in falls and a lower risk of dementia. Dance increases social connectedness, mental health and well-being, while improving physical condition and cognitive acuity.

Dreams really do come true for the young at heart!
